Dreamweaver training can help anyone create customized web pages and complete websites without delving into complex coding. Dreamweaver simplifies the entire process with intuitive point-and-click or drag-and-drop tools. Create advanced websites, interface with a database, develop secure login or logout functionality or implement scripting technologies like ColdFusion and JavaScript using Dreamweaver’s easy-to-use graphical user interface. Users can also design robust, visually intense Flash websites using syntax highlighting, code completion and robust page preview. Dreamweaver also simplifies customization of pre-designed template web sites, available for purchased or free download.

This Dreamweaver training is held in Sacramento by an Authorized Adobe Training Center. AcademyX classes are offered with one free retake1.

Getting Started with Dreamweaver

Our Dreamweaver training attendees are introduced to the application’s core features and functionality, walking through its user interface and learning simple ways to customize their menu and toolbar based on their preferences, whether a website designer or coder. This training class also shows you how to use Dreamweaver to define and build a simple, local website.

Using Dreamweaver To Add Web Site Content

In this comprehensive Dreamweaver training class, experienced instructors show you how to maximize web site content and present it aesthetically to appeal to visitors. This training section also shows you how to import content and specify document structure. Then you’ll gain hands-on experience in formatting and using Dreamweaver’s horizontal rule and special characters.

Managing Massive Websites with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

Dreamweaver even simplifies the time-consuming and error-prone task of page formatting. Regardless of the number of pages in your website design, Dreamweaver’s CSS feature ensures consistent formatting with one-step site-wide updates. Dreamweaver training course covers CSS use, exploring both its benefits and limitations. Helpful instructors guide you through the use of CSS, showing you how to format your own web pages. Additional topics include Dreamweaver tags, classes, advanced style sheet rules, internal, external and various media style sheets.

Adding Graphics

Using Dreamweaver, designers can dramatically enhance their website aesthetics in no time. In this training class, students learn key considerations when integrating graphics on your website. Experienced instructors walk students through the various image types (vector or raster), page performance, image format and quality (resolution and color depth). In this training, students also learn solutions for common issues, ways to place and balance graphics on a web page, modify image properties, edit images, add Flash content and compelling videos.

Organizing Website Navigation

This Dreamweaver training class shows you how to build clean and organized web site navigation using both text and image links. Instructors also demonstrate how to use Dreamweaver to understand visitor interaction within your design. Training participants find out the various link types and techniques, from those connecting within the same website to links taking visitors to other sites, other sections of the same page or to a new email message. Once you completing Dreamweaver training, you’ll understand how to create several links from an image using image maps, modify link colors , create jump menus and resolve links.

Using Layers and CSS

Dreamweaver simplifies web page design by providing straightforward tools for layer, CSS or table creation. In this training class, you’ll learn how to master each method. You’ll also find out why CSS is the preferred technique for website layout and formatting control. Through lively discussion and class participation, students also develop their skills in Dreamweaver’s table layout view, absolute and relative positioning, and import tabular data.

Mastering Dreamweaver’s Libraries and Templates

In Dreamweaver, library items are files containing collections of reusable page elements. You can use these libraries to simplify web page development, adding graphics and text in just a few clicks. Training class attendees then learn how to later update their web page elements so all pages containing specific elements are simultaneously changed. Dreamweaver templates serve a similar purpose, defining the layout for the entire web page as opposed to libraries containing just a part of it. Training class participants find out how they can update an entire web site by simply modifying its template. Our trained instructors walk you through the easy steps to create, use and update various Dreamweaver templates and access libraries for reusable content.

Adding Website Forms

Dreamweaver expedites website form development, so you never have to deal with complex code. Website forms are an important marketing component, letting you communicate with visitors and gather leads. Using Dreamweaver, our Sacramento training participants create a customized form using various objects for flexible data entry. Our instructors walk students through the use of radio buttons, check and drop down boxes. They also explore form use with user registration, contact and product searches. Finally, you’ll get training in using, building and testing your web forms.

Using Dreamweaver to Test, Maintain and Upload Web Pages

Our Dreamweaver training class shows you various features you can implement to facilitate web site testing and maintenance. Dreamweaver helps administrators quickly locate broken links, test browser compatibility, identify coding specifications, check spelling and Accessibility Guideline (Section 508) compliance, providing a full violation report. So you always present a professional image to the public. To facilitate maintenance, Dreamweaver maintains your website files locally, within the application itself. All training participants learn how to use this feature. They also learn how to update links site-wide, cloak files and folders, and synchronize their web site files.
