Access 2007 Fundamentals - San Francisco

MS Access is the most commonly used software application for storing and retrieving data. Access 2007 is significantly different from the 2003 version, so whether you're a beginning user or you've had some experience with the previous version, this class will be helpful. The new Access 2007 interface emphasizes icons over menus, but the program offers the same main features as earlier versions: tables for data storage, queries to retrieve information, forms to enter and edit data, and reports for printing.

Our MS Access training in San Francisco will show you everything from how to design databases to extracting relevant information and printing reports. Our experienced instructors will train you to:

  • Confidently navigate Office 2007's new "Ribbon" interface and help menus
  • Create a new database from scratch and enter data
  • Open and work with existing databases
  • Design "tables" to keep different types of data, such as employee or customer info
  • Set "field" types for currency, dates, text, or other types of data
  • Sort data alphabetically, numerically, or chronologically
  • Find and edit records
  • View records based on criteria you choose: for example, all customers in a certain zip code
  • Create forms to view and edit records one screen at a time
  • Extract printable summaries of your data for reports
  • and many more topics... see full outline for Access 2007 training
