Perl Course in San Jose

The advanced Perl course in San Jose focuses on the areas that add incredible power to Perl, but can be difficult to learn: pattern-matching, modules, references, and object-oriented programming. Distinguish between the many uses of dollar signs ($), square brackets ([]) and curly brackets ({}) when working with references, anonymous references, and dereferenced items
Use object-oriented notation in your code and see how objects relate to references
Code your own modules with the package statement, and define their methods and properties
Construct objects of certain types using the bless statement, call their methods, and set their properties
Use ActiveState's package manager to find more modules and install them
Retrieve and insert records into MySQL, MS Access, and other databases using the DBI module
